So a week then. If I fill up tonight with 3 days worth I should be able to beat the deadline after I get back.

15 Sep 2008 AEST:
The project has currently no work (see below).
The similarity matrix of the SIMAP project is currently up to date. All workunits from the last calculation period are distributed, thanks to all users for chrunchig them.
The calculation of new simap workunits containing the novel proteins from september 2008 (simap app) and their domains (hmmer app) will start around october 1st.
The previous batch of work is now finished. Look out for the next batch next month...

Alrightly, SIMAP will be spitting out work soon for anyone who can drag themselves away from the high payout over at MW :)
I'll have one machine on a 50/50 split between SIMAP and MW. I'm working on getting SIMAP up to 30,000 and inline with Spinhenge. Of course this means I will take a hit with my work at MW and not get paid so much.

Sometimes I do it for the science.
That's why I have credit at Rosetta and will get it up to 100,000 at some point. But that will be a painful process due to low pay.
I do enjoy the pay. But I will give something towards other not so high projects. But I just don't like spreading myself too far.
I think that makes sense?

I use my C2D to try out projects and see what they pay.
MW will go anywhere, as all my 64-bit machines get the same credits for it. I'm thinking of keeping the slower machines running only MW (for the creds, of course), and then running projects for the science on the C2D. That'll change when I get more fast machines running (the FX74 being the one I hope to get most work out of when all the bits are here).

New Workunits: the calculation of similarities and features of approx. 650.000 new sequences, that were imported from protein databases into SIMAP in May, will start in the evening (UTC) of June 1st.
A bigger batch than normal and Calm Chaos is only 35k off 1m credits.

I just added the i7 to it.
Don't know why I never have attached before.
