Yup, that's what I was sayin, the chart is dependent on different factors. Which ones more than others? Well there I would just be guessing. :smt017

Happy, happy, happy, happy...

Found on the Enigma forum
Hello!

Unnannounced because I was going to do some internal tests only, to check if my new daemons are working properly. Then I noticed that the first batch of few hundreds tasks was gone before I attached my test host, so I decided to release more :D

The project is not yet stable and there will be a break (hopefully not to long) after the first batch of ~20,000 tasks - I have to rewrite some parts of the server software to add support for multiple ciphertexts (M4 project currently has 3 'subservers', each with different part of the last M4 message).

I'm still working far away from home (I'm coming back around 6th Oct), but now I have a crappy internet connection which is better than nothing, so the project development is slowly going ahead.
Laptop crunching 4 lonely tasks...

Did I mention I'm happy? Well at least until the 20,000 are gone.

Sometimes that can be too high and it won't get any. I used 3 days in both settings.

I suspended some other projects for a few minutes and got some. (17 WUs.) Not something to do too often or for too long. I've done it before and forgotten to un-suspend the other projects after a few minutes and wound up with WUs from other projects not finishing in time. An example of micro-managing going awry.

hello labbie, i have been looking into it after finding out that my system is trying to up load 40 wu completed since this afternoon looks like there server over at enigma is down in a large way re:not sending fresh wu and no uploads of new wus sending. as a topper i did read on there forum about downtime due to mass uploads and will be fixed soon i think it has happened again, so a little hope here, i have also suspended a hand full of wus untill that time of http conection can complete and get my tasks reported on time and credit issued, and hope for the rest of the team who is seeing the same prob. so i am hanging in there.on a side note i also cannot contact the site for updates.

It's good to hear that it isn't just me. I'm just letting them run, I've got about 50 Enigma WUs to finish before the PrimeGrid challenge starts.

What stat page are you looking at? According to the Enigma@home Top Teams list we are ranked 9th by RAC and 17th by Total Credit.

Anyone wanting to join in? Me and ZC are hitting it hard to see how high we can get.

Coincidentally, I started running it yesterday 'cause S@H was not keeping my processors busy -- I'm suspending all other work for now. Will wait for S@H to calm down a bit and see what I can do toward Enigma in the mean time.

Very cool. I've got my daughter suspending everything except Enigma on the two machines at home right now.

It's funny --- When I moved a couple of years ago, I used that as an excuse to get rid of my spare servers --- I hadn't run S@H in a couple of years so I didn't think of keeping them around for crunching. Now I'm regretting that decision since I've rediscovered my fondness for helping with the projects :)

Mine are running pretty quick too, but there are longer ones I have been getting too. My RAC doesn't seem to be rising as fast as yours though for some reason. How many computers are you running?
