Well, favorite good or bad, it's up to the poster. That one I have to say I kinda liked. It's got a nice solo at the middle and end. It's mm, down my alley.

How about some 80s One Hit Wonders- which the era seems filled with.

Thanks for that one MZ. One Night In Bangkok is one I like. Man it's been years since I've heard it. I was trying to find the name of the Peter Schilling song. I didn't realize it was Major Tom.

It's tough to find that one in an English version laid down on the same track as the German original version and the one played in the video...they tend to want to give it a more dance beat for the US and it sucks...totally wrecks the song IMO.

Here's where George Lynch (formerly of Dokken) got the idea for a new hair-style, as opposed to his original Rick Springfield like hair:

In the last year of that much misunderstood and maligned decade, one group, known as ABWH (though names such as "The Affirmative" and "No" had been bandied about), reminded us old dudes could still look young, still rock, have a catchy sound/beat and yet not be shallow. They reminded us of ... "The Order of the Universe."

One reason ABWH considered names such as "The Affirmative" and "No":

The first 3 minutes sounded like the music they play at big events. But it was catchy after that.

According to what i read at wiki the lead singer would've only been in his early 40s at the time. By todays standards that's pretty young.

Listening to these 80s songs, they were easy to sing along with cuz there was just a few lines repeated about 50 times. Makes me ashamed to admit how much I like 80s music! LOL

Repetitive? How about:

"With the lights out/
it's less dangerous/
Here we are now/
entertain us."

Yadda yadda yadda, garble nozzle znwarf, it's hard to mumble sing with all these marbles in my mouth.

Yeah, that's 90's for us.

No decade's music is this monolithic description most people try to paste to them.

This is what Seattle grunge could have been more like, if Andy Wood had not overdosed on heroine, leaving us with Eddie Vedder to come along.
