Flying high as a Skype!

Post by Dances with Werewolves » Fri Nov 03, 2006 11:50 pm

I will be drawing up the activities plan for our little chats here in a little bit. For Yeababy I think we need to conviene a little earlier say 3 PM Arizona time which would be 10 PM GMT (UTC).

If this poses a problem please post it below.

For the first week I think we can do without the voice chat for those that do not have audio set up. It will be integral to the project although so plan to get at least a mic and headphones or speakers. You can even pick up the inexpensive stuff a walgreens for us Americans if necessary and really cheap. Just watch the size of the audio jacks when you buy them. You will need the type of mic that are preamped with batteries so no cell phone mics will work I don't think.
You don't have to buy from Skype! Unless you want to pick up the handset that is.

Also for the first week I will moderate the debate part of the program. Ah ha got your intrest peak I see. I'll explain it shortly.

Hi guys and gals,

Just wanted to let you know that I am going to be working every night for the next couple of weeks so don't wait for me if someone wants to organize the next Skype get together.

I would suggest choosing a topic so you have something to talk about for more than 15 min. lol But it's not mandatory and it doesn't matter when either as I will drop in if I can. It also looks like you can go voice on this next "running of the Skype".
I'll have to take you Skype hunting sometime. :smt043 :smt082 :smt043

See you in the funny papers. :smt109 :smt023

And never forget "Calm Chaos Rocks"

I'm not sure that turning it around helps much, be there but be square?

The phrase you are looking for is be there OR be square.
:smt003

0:00 GMT on Nov 9th, right? That's when for us in MST? :smt017

I can't use voice. My laptop has been acting up so I am on a backup POS computer. I don't have anything loaded onto it. :-(

Today is the 8th according to my puter time. But I see what you mean Labbie, the count backwards would make it the day before. I meant tomorrow so the 10th at 0:00 GMT then subtract for your timezone. That would make it 4 PM AZ, 3 PM Pacific time tomorrow the 9th.
My bad, sorry.

You're still an hour off. 0:00 Nov 10 GMT = 24:00 Nov 9 GMT minus 7 MST = 17:00 Nov 9 MST = 5:00 pm Nov 9 MST, 4:00 pm PST, 7:00 pm EST.

Or did you want it to be 4:00 MST? Then it would be 23:00 GMT Nov. 9th.

Confused yet? I'm not (anymore). :smt021

Skype is the best system to connect with ISD. It has nice facilities among others. It has the nice audio clarity and It has integral to the project although so plan to get at least a Mic and headphones or speakers. It has also facility of the inexpensive stuff a walgreens for users if necessary and really cheap.
It is really helpful in ISD calls via PC.
